Best Gingerbread Cookies

When it comes to declaring something to be the 'Best Tasting' anything, the truth of course, is that you'll never get everyone to agree on it.  Maybe you prefer your grandma's version because she always took the time to decorate them so perfectly.  Or maybe you like them to be hard so you can dunk them in your coffee.  (Going forward let's all agree to call them 'dunkers,' OK?)

Gingerbread cookies have never been part of my holiday baking repertoire for two reasons:

• My mom never had gingerbread men as part of HER holiday baking.
• I could never find a gingerbread recipe I liked.

That is, until a few years ago.  My Aunt Suzie has come through for us so it's time to get baking.  Enjoy!
