Burglar Makes off With Loot from Area Restaurant
Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News) - The owner of the Fisherman’s Inn restaurant at Lake Zumbro scared off a burglar early Sunday, but not before he made off with some money.
The owner told Olmsted County deputies he went to the basement of the Oronoco area business around 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning and found a masked man in the room. The owner says he went outside to call 911 and the man fled.
The owner spotted the thief and another masked man drive off in a gray or silver-colored SUV. He told investigators both men were white and in their 20’s.
The restaurant owner says he later discovered he was missing $1,100 in cash and a laptop.
