Byron Man Says He Was Robbed at Rochester Park

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Byron man says he was robbed while at a Rochester park.

The 58-year-old called police around 5:00 PM Friday to report the incident.

The man says he was at Cooke Park along 7th St NW when a man approached and demanded his money. The victim says when he refused, the man hit him in the head and he then gave him the money from his wallet, which he says was a few hundred dollars.

Police are still searching for the suspect described as a Somali male in his early 20s about 5-8 with a medium build.
