Police say a car was headed east on Highway 14 approaching the South Broadway intersection just before 7:30 when it crossed the median and crashed into an oncoming dump truck.

The car was traveling at a high rate of speed and the impact knocked the truck onto its side. The man driving the car had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to St. Mary’s. No word yet on his medical condition. A police spokesman says the man may have been suffering a medical condition at the time of the crash.
