Based on a report by WPTV, Aldi claims that it can save a family of four about $4,000 on groceries just buy purchasing "ALDI-exclusives over name brands".
DISCLAIMER: I haven't tried them all but some of the "ALDI-exclusive" brands taste better than the name-brand items. Crackers are sometimes a hit or miss with me, but there are some that I do like. I also love the variety of gluten-free items. You can also find a huge assortment of items without high fructose corn syrup, including bread. My stomach can't handle that ingredient, and if you look at the labels, you'll see that this is in A LOT of our groceries now.
