St Paul (KROC-AM News) - Several more cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the state - including a new one in southeast Minnesota.

The state Health Dept. Sunday reported 14 new cases, including one from Waseca County. The first case in southeast Minnesota was in Olmsted County.

The number of positive cases as of Sunday was 35. More than 1400 samples had been tested, including dozens at Mayo Clinic Laboratories.

Governor Tim Walz has authorized the temporary closure of Minnesota K-12 public schools to students in order for school administrators and teachers to make long-term plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
