
Pair of Crashes on Slippery Southeast Minnesota Highways Result in Injuries for Drivers
Undated (KROC-AM News)- Slippery travel conditions were cited in a pair of injury crashes in southeast Minnesota on Sunday.

That’s according to the State Patrol which responded to accidents with injuries in Fillmore and Wabasha Counties.
The Wabasha County crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. and the Fillmore County crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. Each traffic incident was a single-vehicle crash.

First responders were called to Sunday’s first crash along Hwy. 61 in Minneiska, which is about 15 miles upriver from Winona.
The driver of a southbound car lost control of the vehicle on slick highway and rolled into the ditch, the state crash report says.

59-year-old Elizabeth Amalia Lauzurique of Miami Beach, FL was identified as the driver. She was taken to Winona Health with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
Sunday evening’s crash occurred on Hwy. 43 north of Rushford.
A southbound car heading down the large hill into Rushford went into the ditch and rolled after the driver lost control, according to the state crash report.

The State Patrol says the driver, identified as Autumn Ann Bearbower of Rushford, was brought to a hospital in Winona with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in either crash, according to the State Patrol.
