This spring has been terrible. It's 30 degrees while I'm writing this. That's not ok! I'm over it and so are a lot of other people. I've heard from many that they're hopping on a plane and are going somewhere warm soon, including my parents. So it made me wonder, where are Minnesotans going right now? There have got to be a lot of people desperately searching for somewhere to go that's not Minnesota.

I took to Google Trends to try and figure out where most people are traveling. It's not going to be a perfectly accurate representation but I did my best. Using Google Trends I searched for the search term 'flights from MSP' and selected 'Minnesota' and 'past 30 days' to see where people were purchasing flights to.

5. Seattle, WA

I'm confused why people want to go to Seattle instead of Florida or something but after looking at their forecast their weather is still way better than ours. Yes, they have rain, but they also have highs in the 50s which sounds really nice right now.

4. Denver, CO

I was looking at flights to Denver just last week for two reasons: 1. We want to check out their breweries and 2. Their highs are in the 70s! That sounds so nice! Beer outside in 70-degree weather... ahhhh...

3. Chicago, IL

Another strange one to me. Chicago is only very slightly warmer than us but I supposed any change in pace right now is nice, and Chicago is a cool city to visit.

2. Nashville, TN

This one makes a lot of sense. A fun city with a lively bar scene (if that's your thing), and highs in the 70s and 80s!

1. Atlanta, GA

I was thinking number one would be Honolulu or something but nope, Minnesotans apparently want to go to Atlanta. Temperature-wise I totally get it, they've got highs in the upper-70s.
