Deputy Found Thousands of $ Blowing in Wind
STEARNS COUNTY – A Stearns County deputy found a large amount of lost cash and returned it to its owner during the weekend.
On Friday at 4:15 p.m. a deputy was driving north on County Road 3, south of County Road 131 in Brockway Township. Just south of the intersection, the deputy noticed money that was blowing around in the wind.
The deputy eventually found and collected $3,010 at the location.
While gathering the cash, the deputy also found a bank slip that identified the owner of the money.
After verifying the information with the bank, the owner was contacted and came to the Sheriff’s Office on Saturday to collect his money.
