Korean Music

Rochester Chamber Music Society is pleased to present a special concert titled Korean Music on Saturday, March 5, 7:30 pm, at Christ United Methodist Church. Two artists from the Korean Performing Arts institute in Chicago will come to Rochester for a unique presentation of Korean music with Rochester musician SooJin Lee. The audience will be introduced to various forms and styles of Korean music, from the authentic traditional to western-influenced as composed by Korean composers. This concert will feature solos, duos, and ensembles of Korean wind instruments (daegeum, sogum, and danso), percussion instruments (janggu and kkwaenggwari), and string instruments (gayageum and yanggeum).
