
Motorist Arrested After Fleeing Scene of Fatal Crash at Twin Cities Intersection
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a pick-up heading west on 165th Ave. struck a southbound SUV that was on 7th Ave.
Andover, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities say a motorist accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal crash is in custody.

A news release issued by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday night says first responders were dispatched to the crash around 5:45 Friday evening.
The deadly incident occurred at the intersection of 165th Ave Northwest and 7th Ave Northwest in Andover.

The fatality was one of at least three reported in Minnesota on Friday. A crash on I-90 in Winona County claimed two lives and a southern Minnesota man lost his life in a Rice County crash.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a pick-up heading west on 165th Ave. struck a southbound SUV that was on 7th Ave., the news release says.
Authorities say the pick-up driver then fled the scene. The news release identifies SUV driver as 74-year-old Alice Marie Stack of Andover.
She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the news release.
Law enforcement says the pick-up driver was located shortly after the deadly crash and taken to the Anoka County Jail. He is identified 48-year-old Kenneth Johnson of Andover.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the deadly collision.
