
Federal Fugitive from Wisconsin Caught in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man wanted on a warrant issued by federal authorities in Green Bay was taken into custody in Rochester Thursday. The man - 35-year-old Nicholas O’Neill Nelson - was going through the screening area of the Olmsted County Government Center around 9:00 AM when he was handcuffed and taken to jail.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Scott Behrns says Nelson is wanted for a firearms possession case. Behrns says his office “ received information that Nelson was wanted at the federal level and had a scheduled court appearance.”
He was scheduled to appear in Olmsted County Court on prostitution and drug charges connected to a June 2017 incident in Rochester.
