Feeling Down? Blame It On “Blue Monday”

Feeling a little down today? You're not alone. Today is known as "Blue Monday" and is generally thought to be one of the most depressing days of the year.

Why? For many people it's the first day back to work or school following the holidays. It will be a while before we have another long holiday weekend (most don't get Martin Luther King Jr or President's Day off). And unless you paid cash for your holiday purchases, you know those big credit card bills are coming.

Finally there's the weather. If you look at a calendar you know we're still in for several long months of winter. Later today we're expecting a few inches of snow and the start of one of the most bitterly cold weeks of the year. You could even say with wind chills around here expected in the 20 to 35 degrees-below-zero range, it give a whole new meaning to "Blue Monday". Ugh!
