I'm all for that food truck life. It's awesome to be able to walk up and grab some grub, sit outside and enjoy. It's fast, affordable and delicious - what's not to love?

Quite honestly, I didn't even realize Albert Lea didn't allow food trucks in the city (except for special occasions). That ordinance may soon be lifted. According to KAAL, Albert Lea is one step closer to allowing food trucks to operate daily from 11 am - 8 pm. The City Council approved the first reading at their meeting earlier this week.

If approved, there will be 13 spots throughout town for food trucks to set up, including at the beach. The spaces will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

I'm not the only one digging this move, people on Facebook are also excited about the possibility of having more food options in Albert Lea. Some are even suggesting which food trucks should head that way (hint, hint, truck owners).

It sounds like the council could make a decision on this ordinance as early as next week.
