Undated (KROC-AM News) - The end-of-the-year report on foreclosure activity from the firm RealtyTrac shows that, nationwide, the activity fell to a 9 year low in 2015.

Almost 1.1 million homes in the U.S. were the subject of foreclosure filings last year, which was down 3-percent from 2014.

In Minnesota, RealtyTrac reported just under 11,000 foreclosure-related filings for the entire year. That’s down 4.4-percent when compared to 2014 and is about 65-percent below the peak in foreclosure activity in 2010.

In the final month of 2015, there were just over 960 foreclosure related filings in Minnesota. That number was down 29-percent from November and was about 21-percent below the total from December 2014.
