High Waters Sweep Cows Away at Oxbow
The video above has gone viral on Facebook. It shows the aftermath from the torrential rain that has fallen over the last 24-hours. Parts of our area received around 7-inches of rain in the last 24-hours. In the video, you see how high water at Oxbow is and actually see cows floating away. 30-40 cows have been reported missing.
Meanwhile, The Olmsted County Public Works Department announced several road closings due to flooding. Updated information on road closings can be found here.
UPDATE: We are seeing reports from several people that many of the cows made it safely to dry land downstream.
