Undated (KROC AM News) - A section of Highway 52 south of the Twin Cities was closed Wednesday morning after a tanker truck crashed in the median.

The truck had a load of ethanol. It’s not known if there is a leak but all lanes in both directions were closed in the Hampton area until 11 a.m. Officials earlier indicated the closure could be in effect through 4 p.m.

That crash was one of dozens around the state since Tuesday.The Minnesota State Patrol says it responded to nearly 300 accidents between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday. Those wrecks included two fatalities and 31 injuries.There were also more than 350 spinouts due to slick roads.

There has been another pedestrian death in Minnesota.The latest happened around 5 p.m.Tuesday in Burnsville. Police in the Twin Cities suburb say a woman was struck and died at the scene. Police did not indicate whether the driver would face charges.
