Saying it is going to be hot doesn't quite cover it. Look at all that orange! You'll want to make sure to have water with you, close all the windows and shades and blinds when you leave in the morning, and check on people you know that may be vulnerable in this sort of heat.

A lot of times vulnerable folks hate asking for help, so don't make 'em.

Also, prepare for a LOT of "it's not the heat, it's the humidity!" jokes.

From the NWS in LaCrosse

A potentially dangerous heat wave is taking shape for later this week. The warmest day will be Thursday, when high temperatures will climb into the lower to mid 90s.

The warm temperatures combined with a humid air mass will cause heat indices to rise above 100, possibly nearing 110! Take extra precautions for any outdoor activities planned later this week. Before the heat arrives, periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms will move through the region Monday night through Wednesday.
