Last night it was the long ball that provided the difference as well as a good pitching performance from Drew Slade.  He gave up three runs on six hits over seven innings.

The offense was provided by Reese Rua, Zach Zubia and Weston Hatten.  All three homered in the third inning and even though the team squandered many more scoring opportunities, they were able to hang on for the win.

Same two teams tonight at Mayo Field, starting at 7:05.  Byron-native Ryan Thompson is scheduled to the make the start for the Honkers. Thompson is 1-0 this season with a 3.29 ERA and 10 strikeouts.
