How To Get ‘Final Four Fever’ Here in Minnesota
The Gophers are a step closer to the Big Dance, and now you can get a severe case of Final Four fever too, with a ton of activities planned for right here in Minnesota.
While it's not quite as big a deal as when Minnesota hosted Super Bowl LII last year, the NCAA Final Four is set for the weekend of April 6th at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and there are some cool events planned in and around the stadium.
According to this CBS-Minnesota story, you've gotta check out the huge, 3D bracket that has been set-up outside the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis. Then, you can't miss the 10-story Ferris wheel, all part of what the NCAA is calling the Tip-Off Tailgate. Most of the activities, the story said, are located along the Nicollet Mall between 8th and 12th Streets.
Next weekend, starting March 29th, you can get in free to teams practices at U.S. Bank Stadium. You can check all the March Madness activities HERE-- including the NCAA's daily schedule of events HERE.
And, of course, there are free concerts too, called the March Madness Music Series, which are set to take place at the Armory in Minneapolis. (Katy Perry and Zedd are already confirmed for a 7pm show on Sunday, April 7th, with other concerts on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th yet to be announced.) Admission is free, but there is a limited amount of seats available. Get more info HERE.
