Lonsdale, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash along a southern Minnesota highway sent a motorcyclist to the hospital over the weekend.

It happened shortly before 1:30 Sunday afternoon at an intersection. The State Patrol says a minivan was also involved in the two-vehicle crash

68-Year-Old Motorcyclist Brought to Hospital After Crash with Minivan in Rice County

The motorcycle and minivan collided at the intersection of Hwy. 19 and Garfield Ave. in Lonsdale, which is about 20 miles northwest of Faribault.

The motorcycle was heading east on Hwy. 19 and the minivan was northbound on Garfield Ave. when they collided in the intersection, the state crash report says.

68-year-old Steven Kenneth Christenson was driving the motorcycle. The State Patrol says he was brought to a Twin Cities hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

43-year-old Kurston Lynn Dahl of Lonsdale was driving the minivan. She escaped the crash without injuries, according to the State Patrol. 

Alcohol was not involved in the crash. Christenson was wearing a helmet and Dahl was buckled up, the state crash report indicates. 

Northfield Ambulance, the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Lonsdale Fire Department and the Lonsdale Police Department also responded to the crash.
