Suspected Impaired Driver Crashes into Playground at Minnesota Elementary School
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorist is in custody after crashing into the playground area at a southern Minnesota elementary school.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Mankato Department of Public Safety.
Officers responded to the report of a vehicle entering a playground and colliding with equipment around 10:15 Thursday morning. The incident occurred at Franklin Elementary School at 1000 N. Broad St. in Mankato.
Suspected Impaired Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Playground Equipment at Mankato, MN Elementary School
Authorities say no children were on the playground at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported.
Law enforcement arrested the driver on suspicion of driving while impaired. The motorist’s name has not been released and the type of vehicle the suspect was driving was not disclosed.
A damage estimate for the playground is not available. Authorities say the incident is still under investigation.
