The Twins may be having another struggling season, sitting at the bottom of the AL Central 20 games back, but this was a very interesting date in Twin's franchise history.

This was the date in 1968 that Minnesota Twin, Cesar Tovar (otherwise known as "Mr. Versatile"), played all 9 fielding positions in a game against Oakland, becoming one of only 4 players in Major League Baseball history to have accomplished such a feat.  He even pitched a scoreless inning striking out Reggie Jackson.  Tovar finally retired in the Mexican Baseball League in 1986 at the age of 45.

So if the Twins don't have the greatest 'present' going on, at least they've got a pretty cool 'past'.
