The winter gives way to spring, the sun shines, melting the snow, returning our community to life, all things green start growing and soon colors will abound.

But first, we gotta pick up the trash! The snow hid a lot of litter, over 6.6 tons in 2018. That's 13,000 pounds off garbage. Collecting it took a bunch of volunteers, but its worth it because it makes Rochester A Litter Bit Better!

This year, Litter Bit Better is April 27th thru May 5th. An entire week dedicated to our city banding together to do some spring cleaning along the roads, downtown, and in neighborhoods. Its one of the many times during the year I feel like we still have that small town "we're all in this together' attitude, and I love it.

You can volunteer, or just get more info by clicking HEREClick the register button and see what's available. When all of us here at Townsquare Media Rochester did it last year, we had a blast and it took only about an hour to an hour and a half. The more the merrier!

This is a great service project for a company, department, club, service or faith group, sports team, or neighborhood.  Your clean up can happen any day during the week of the event - it's up to you!
