It's the Relay for Life of Olmsted County coming Friday, July 18th, 6:30 p.m. at the University Center Rochester.  This is your chance to remember loved ones lost, to celebrate those who've beaten cancer, and to support those who are currently battling it.

I still remember the day the oncologist at Mayo told Julie and I that our son had cancer.  That was back in 2000, and I'm happy to say Michael is now cancer-free and will be a senior at Winona State this fall.  We're looking forward to walking beside him during the "survivor lap" at this year's Relay for Life.  (A special thanks to the incredible oncology team at Mayo Clinic and the Eugenio Litta children's floor at St. Mary's Hospital).

The overnight walk will include family fun activities, food,

entertainment, and of course the powerful luminary lighting ceremony at dusk.

Hope to see you there next Friday!
