
Southern Minnesota House Fire Injures 6 – Including 4 Children
Sleepy Eye, MN (KROC-AM News) - Six people, including four children, were injured in a house fire in southern Minnesota this morning.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office says firefighters and other emergency responders were dispatched to the home in Sleepy Eye around 7 AM and found the structure fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene. One person was still inside the burning home and was rescued by members of the Sleepy Eye Fire Department.
A Woman and a Young Child Were Airlifted to a Twin Cities Hospital
The Sheriff's Office reported that the 29-year-old woman suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in the Twin Cities. A 3-year-old boy was also airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital. His condition is described as guarded.
Four other people, a 56-year-old woman, an 8-year-old girl, and two boys, ages 6 and 11, were taken to a hospital in Sleepy Eye with unknown injuries.

An investigator from the State Fire Marshal's Office was called to the scene to assist in the search for the cause of the fire.
