There is just something about a diner. I love the vibe and the atmosphere and more often than not, the food is absolutely incredible! It always hits the spot. Sometimes you just want a big, greasy meal.

We are lucky to have some great diners here in the Northland and in our region as general. However, one reigns supreme in a new list which ranks the 15 most iconic diners in the country.

That's crazy considering how many there are! I am glad Minnesota got some representation, even if this spot isn't located in the Northland. However, it is located in a spot many of us visit often. Let's feast.

St. Paul Diner Named Among Most 15 Iconic Diners In America

You probably guessed it: Mickey's Diner is one of the most iconic diners in the country! Not only does the food look delicious but it also has a very unique look that makes it stand out from the rest.

It is quite literally a dining car, which adds to the vibe of the place. I have never eaten there but after reading this menu, I will definitely be going on my next trip to the cities. It has two locations in St. Paul - in downtown and the Highland area.

This list was just released and put together by Only In Your State, which I highly recommend checking out if you are a foodie or love to travel! They chose Mickey's Diner for it's famous decor and the fact it is located in a dining car!

It's also iconic for its history: it has served many famous people over the years, including famous politicians and actors. In fact, a handful of famous movies were even filmed there over the years including The Mighty Ducks and Jingle All The Way.

It's had its fair share of ups and downs, especially through the pandemic but it is back and better than ever. I will be going their in the very near future!
