There are some great places to live in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Apparently, there is one town in our great state that some considered the prettiest.

Maybe this small town is your hometown, or maybe you've passed through it. I feel like anyone would either live in or at the very least, visit a city that's labeled the prettiest.

Before we dive into which city can claim this title, what exactly is a small town?

The U.S. Census Bureau defines small towns as incorporated areas with 5,000 residents or fewer. Midsize cities have between 5,000 - 10,000 people, and big cities are noted for having populations of 50,000 or more. So I'm not entirely sure what the name is for towns that have between 10,000 - 50,000 people are considered.

They also looked into smaller towns that have special combinations of natural surroundings, history, architecture, and even art to decide what makes a city the prettiest in the state.
