If you are a fan of the Granite City Lumberjacks this has been a pretty special season so far for the West Division leaders. The 'Jacks head into this weekend with an impressive 21-6-2-1 record, but they need to keep stacking dubs as division and I-94 rival Alexandria is just 4 points back in 2nd place.

The Lumberjacks have two big games this weekend as they face off against a division foe on the road, and then take on a former division foe at home. Saturday night the Lumberjacks will be in Blaine taking on the Minnesota Moose in what really should be considered a must-win game to keep the distance between Alexandria, before coming home on a rare Sunday night game against the Rochester Grizzlies.

The 'Jacks shouldn't look past the Moose as they have won 5 in a row. Game time at Fogerty Ice Arena is 7:05 pm on Saturday night.

Sunday will be a great game with Rochester coming to town in 4th place in the Central Division with an overall record of 18-9-2-2. Before Rochester left the West for the Central, this would have been a HUGE divisional/rivalry game. Don't be confused as this game is still a rivalry game considering the history between the two teams, but the level of chippiness should be less considering it's an interdivisional game.
