If you are a fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves, you are probably aware of the news that came last night. Ahead of the NBA Draft, which is tonight, the Timberwolves traded Julius Randle and their first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets, which was part of a three-team trade that also saw Brooklyn send Nic Claxton to Chicago. Fans of the Wolves will only have two words to say on opening night.

Naz Reid.

With Julius Randle leaving the Twin Cities for Brooklyn, it opens the door for the former 6th man of the year to finally crack the starting line-up. Naz Reid.

Here's the deal that sent Randle to Brooklyn, and opened the door for Naz Reid to get into the starting line-up.

Brooklyn Nets: Acquired Julius Randle and the 28th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft from Minnesota.

Minnesota Timberwolves: Received the 33rd overall pick from the Nets and forward Mo Gueye from the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago Bulls: Acquired center Nic Claxton from Brooklyn using their salary cap space.

He's Been A Fan Favorite For Years

Naz Reid has been a fan favorite for years. You'd see the Naz Reid towel showing up at various Minnesota sporting events, including this past season, a Vikings fan brought a Naz Reid towel to London.

Fans have gotten his name tattooed on them.

I can only imagine how loud the crowd will be when he is announced as part of the starting line-up this upcoming season. Target Center might just need a new roof.

From the North Shore's jagged cliffs to the rolling croplands of southern Minnesota and to the driftless area near Preston, our state is filled with beautiful sights. I managed to find 6 photos that were taken right here in Minnesota, but when you look at them, you'd think they were taken somewhere else completely. Let's enjoy the land of 10,000 photos, shall we?
