Minnesotans Wanting to Fly to Ireland – Nonstop Flight is Back

During the pandemic, we basically saw everything shut down.  Slowly things started back again, and we are still waiting for some things to come back, along with some businesses that will never recover.

And for many months there was no travel abroad allowed.  At least that has changed, and there is an airline that is finally coming back for the first time since the pandemic with non stop frights from Minneapolis to the Emerald Isle; otherwise known as Ireland.

Minnesotans, and North Americans in general, have Ireland as one of their bucket list trips.  This is a very popular destination and with the now added Aer Lingus non stop flights coming back, this will help with some of that travel.

According to Bring Me the News, The Aer Lingus airline will begin non stop flights between Minneapolis and Dublin on April 29th.  These flights will be limited to Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  The daily flights will begin in the Fall.  So if you have time to plan, which is the best idea, there will be more options then.

Delta will also begin more nonstop flights between Minneapolis and Dublin.  Those flights will begin again towards the beginning of May.

I did check out the Aer Lingus aircraft that they will be using.  There are a couple versions of the Airbus A321XLR.  One of them is fairly normal with a 3 and 3 set up and no TVs or power access.  So that would require travelers to bring their own entertainment with them.  Make sure you have a full charge on your phone and download some things to watch.  The other version (which is what I hope you would get) is an aircraft with a lot of room, including some seats in first class that totally recline, and you are basically in your own little pod.  I would love that one, but of course, that one will come with a lot more expense too.  But, would it be worth it??  Maybe.
