
Watch: 10-Year-Old Drives Stolen Car Through Crowded Minneapolis School Playground
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Minneapolis police are reporting the arrest of a 10-year-old who they say drove a stolen car through a playground.

Video shows children were on the playground at the time of the incident. The car is seen making three passes through the playground.
The child has had dozens of past run-ins with police, a news release issued on Friday says. Police say the incident occurred on September 20.

Minneapolis PD: 10-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Driving Stolen Car Through School Playground
The boy is seen driving the car between the sidewalk and playground equipment at Nellie Stone Johnson School in north Minneapolis.
Video shows school staff frantically moving the crowd of children on the playground out of the way. No injuries were reported.
The news release says the 10-year-old has at least 30 entries in Minneapolis police records since May of last year.

12 of the cases involve either robbery, auto theft or assault with a dangerous weapon. The other cases are runaways, according to the news release.
Police say the child was booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center on Thursday on suspicion of second-degree assault.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara says the boy’s family is cooperating with authorities and are asking that the child be held to prevent him from harming himself or others.
