Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage girl lost her life in a Twin Cities shooting Tuesday night.

That’s according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department. Officers responded to the report of gunfire shortly before 8 p.m.
Authorities set up a perimeter and deployed the State Patrol helicopter in an effort to locate the suspect.

The fatal shooting occurred near a car dealership in the 7000 block of Lakeland Ave N. in Brooklyn Park.
Responding officers found a 17-year-old girl at the scene suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, police say.

The victim’s name has not been released. Despite the search effort, law enforcement was unable to locate the shooting suspect, police said.
Brooklyn Park Police say the investigation into the apparent homicide remains active.
