Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the reported theft of seven catalytic converters in Stewartville

Lt. Lee Rossman said deputies were dispatched to the theft report at a body shop and car dealership in the 900 block of Main St. North Monday morning. The reporting party told deputies the car parts were taken from five vehicles throughout the week of December 5-12.

Rossman said two of the vehicles hit by the theft had two converters. Investigators believe the car parts were cut out with a portable saw.

The business is out an estimated $5,300 as a result of the theft. Rossman said a neighboring business was also hit by so far the car part thief. There are no suspects in the theft case.
