
Brooklyn Park Police Announce Arrest Twin Cities Teen for Murder of 16-Year-Old Boy
Brooklyn Park, MN (MinnesotaNow)- An arrest has been made in the Twin Cities in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy.

The teen died following a shooting around 10:45 Sunday night.
The Brooklyn Park Police Department announced the arrest in a news release published on Thursday.

17-Year-Old Arrested for Murder of Teen Boy in Brooklyn Park
Sunday’s deadly shooting occurred at Hartkopf Park, located at 7300 Florida Ave N.
Responding officers found the young victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was given life-saving aid but died from his injuries at the scene, police say. His name has not been released.
Murder Weapon Recovered
Officers began investigating the shooting. The investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy and the recovery of the murder weapon, the news release says.
Police say the suspected shooter was booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree murder.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing, the news release says.
