Rochester Woman Accused of Using Knife to Threaten Caretaker

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester woman is facing felony charges for allegedly threatening an in-home caretaker.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Thursday. 

Rochester police responded to the report of threats against an in-home caretaker on Wednesday at a residence in northwest Rochester. 

57-Year-Old Rochester Woman Accused of Threatening In-Home Caretaker with Knife

57-year-old Tiki Lashelle Harley is charged with second-degree assault and terroristic threats. 

The victim told police he arrived at Harley’s home and saw her come out of the residence.

Harley told the caretaker she would “kill and “cut” him if he came to her home again. The complaint also says she was making the statements while holding a knife and walking towards the victim’s vehicle.

The victim rolled up his window before Harley got to his vehicle and Harley tapped the knife blade on the victim's vehicle, the charges allege. 

Knives Found on Threats Suspect

Responding officers found multiple knives on Harley when they took her into custody. The court document also says Harley admitted to threatening the victim, saying her words were more of a promise than a threat. 

The complaint indicates Harley told police she would mutilate the victim and "cut his throat" if he were at the scene while she was speaking with officers. 

Harley was released without bail following her first court appearance Thursday morning. She’s due back in court next month.
