The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Wednesday, says the crash happened on Monday.
Responding State Patrol troopers found one vehicle on the left shoulder and the other on the right shoulder.

The victim, who the complaint says was driving an SUV, told troopers the driver of a car “got frustrated” during a merge on the freeway and hit the victim’s vehicle on purpose.
Troopers identified the driver of the car as 46-year-old Adam David Dose. In a statement to the State Patrol, Dose admitted to intentionally hitting the pick-up truck the victim was driving, the complaint says.
The pick-up had damage on the driver’s side and the car’s passenger side experienced damage in the collision. The court document also described the damage to the pick-up as “extensive” and says the collision caused the pick-up to spin out on the highway.
No injuries were reported and the complaint does not give a specific location of the collision.
Dose is charged with second-degree assault and first-degree property damage, a charge filed against a person accused of inflicting at least $1,000 in damages.
Dose was released without bail following his first court appearance and remains in the Olmsted County Jail as of Wednesday morning. He is due back in court next month.
