Delays Expected With Start of SE Rochester Road Project
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Motorists are being advised that a road project that is scheduled to begin on Monday will create traffic disruptions on a major north-south route in southwest Rochester.
The Olmsted County Public Works Department says concrete rehabilitation work will be taking place on County Road 1 (11th Avenue SE) between Highway 14 and Highway 52. Besides the concrete rehabilitation work, the project will also include bituminous shoulder mill and overlay, and restriping on the four-lane roadway.
Officials say the section of 11th Avenue SE will remain open during the project but traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction at various locations. The project is scheduled to be completed in early June if the weather cooperates.

The Public Works Department says motorists should expect delays and should consider alternate routes during the duration of the project.
