
Southeast Minnesota Hunters Rescued After Boat Capsizes on the Mississippi River
The 911 call indicated the hunters were in the frigid river and needed help.
Altura, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office says a group of duck hunters are ok after their boat capsized on the Mississippi River.

Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office Captain Captain Curt Struwe emergency responders were called to the water emergency shortly after 6:00 Wednesday morning.
The 911 call indicated the hunters were in the frigid river and needed help.

Trio of Duck Hunters Rescued After Their Boat Capsized on Mississippi River in Wabasha County
Struew says a boat occupied by three hunters capsized at the Weaver Landing, which is about 20 miles up river from Winona.
The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office says nearby duck hunters rescued the three individuals from the water and brought them to shore.
All three hunters were taken to a hospital. Struew says they are believed to be in stable condition.
Their names have not been released.
The Wabasha Fire Department, Wabasha Ambulance, Kellogg Fire Department, Lake City Ambulance, and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources also responded to the scene.
