Early Morning Fire Damages Cannon Falls Restaurant
Cannon Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - Firefighters in Cannon Falls were called into action this morning to battle a fire at a fast food restaurant.
The Cannon Falls Fire Department says it was initially reported as a dumpster fire around 2:40 AM. A news release says Cannon Falls Police officers were the first to arrive at the scene and indicated it was actually a structure fire at the McDonald's Restaurant in the 400 block of Hickory Drive along the east side of Highway 52.
The officers reported that the fire had spread through the roof on the south side of the building. Cannon Falls firefighters performed a knockdown of the flames in the garage area of the building before crews entered the restaurant to continue fighting the fire.

The fire crews remained at the scene until around 6 AM. No injuries were reported and an estimate of the damage is not available.
An investigator from the State Fire Marshal's Office was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
