Fatal Crash Claims Life of Unrestrained Minnesota Driver
Mora, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded to a fatal traffic crash involving an unrestrained driver Sunday afternoon in east-central Minnesota.
The preliminary report on the incident indicates it was reported just after 3 PM at a rural intersection in Kanabec County just north of Mora. The State Patrol says a car was traveling north on a rural road when the driver lost control and the vehicle went into the left ditch, rolled, and crashed into a tree.
The road surface was described as wet at the time of the crash.
The victim was identified as 70-year-old William Bonney of Brook Park. He died from his injuries after his arrival at a hospital in Mora.
The State Patrol report indicated that he was not using a seatbelt and alcohol wasn't not involved in the crash.
