Red Wing Couple Hurt In Two-vehicle Crash On Highway 61

Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two people were injured in a crash at a southeast Minnesota intersection on Tuesday.

The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle collision shortly after 3 p.m. An SUV and car were involved in the crash.

Red Wing Man and Woman Injured in Crash at Intersection Along Hwy. 61

The crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Spring Creek Ave. in Red Wing.

The car was heading north on Hwy. 61 and the SUV was traveling south on Hwy. 61 when the two vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the state crash report.

70-year-old Patricia Joan Wuollet was identified by the State Patrol as the driver and 79-year-old Jerry Edward Wuollet was riding with her.

The man and woman from Red Wing suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were both brought to the Mayo Clinic hospital in Red Wing, the State Patrol says.

Iowa Man Avoids Injuries

21-year-old Ethan Brody Krotz of Ainsworth, IA was driving the car. He escaped the two-vehicle crash without injuries, according to the State Patrol.

All three occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report says.

Red Wing Fire/EMS and the Red Wing Police Department also responded to the crash.
