Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office has filed charges against a Rochester man accused of stealing a motorcycle from an employee at a local hospital.
The criminal complaint, filed Thursday, says Rochester Police responded to the report of a stolen motorcycle from a parking ramp at a hospital in southwest Rochester.
The theft was reported around 1:30 a.m. on September 13 and is believed to have occurred shortly after 4:45 p.m. on September 12.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and learned from the victim that several individuals on Facebook identified the theft suspect as 22-year-old Jonathan Patrick Catlin.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on September 13, Investigators learned Catlin had been taken into custody in Winona County after deputies spotted him riding on the stolen motorcycle in Winona, the court document says.
Catlin was then transported back to Rochester and arraigned on felony motor vehicle theft charge on Friday. He remains in the Olmsted County Jail after the judge set his bail at $10,000 without conditions.
He is due back in court in November.
