
Man Airlifted to Rochester After Rural Dodge County Crash
Kasson, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol are investigating a severe injury crash that happened on a rural two-lane road Thursday night.

A news release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a residence between Kasson and Dodge Center in the 15000 block of County Rd. 34. The crash was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m.
Upon arrival first responders found a man lying in the roadway identified as 34-year-old Milelio Pastrana. He was Flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are being described as life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates Pastrana was driving a car east on County Rd. 34 that struck a pick-up parked on the eastbound shoulder facing west. The driver of the pick-up, identified as 24-year-old Paige Floen, was stopped at her mailbox at the time of the collision.
She was taken to a hospital by vehicle for treatment of what are being described as minor injuries. The Dodge County news release says alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and have asked the State Patrol to reconstruct the crash scene due to the severity of the injuries and potential for criminal charges.
The Claremont Fire Department, Dodge Center Fire Department, Dodge Center Ambulance, and Mayo One also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
