Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Winter is forecast to make an encore appearance in southeastern Minnesota this evening and continue into Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service says the weather system responsible for blizzard conditions in northwestern Minnesota earlier today has brought much colder temperatures, gusty winds, and a chance of snow to southeastern Minnesota. As of late Tuesday afternoon, the forecast for the Rochester area called for up to 2 inches of snow accumulation by early tomorrow morning.
The snow is predicted to be accompanied by strong northwest winds with gusts that could be as high as 45 miles per hour. That could create hazardous travel conditions starting this evening due to an reduced visibility.

The National Weather Service says clearing skies are forecast for Wednesday, but it will remain cold through Thursday morning with the temperature perhaps only reaching 20° tomorrow afternoon and dropping back into the teens overnight.
