
72-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Crash With Car in Northfield
Authorities are describing the bicyclist as a 72-year-old woman from Northfield.
Northfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota bicyclist lost her life in a collision with a car in Rice County.

The State Patrol responded to the deadly incident shortly before 7:00 Saturday evening.

Bicyclist Killed in Collision With Car at Northfield Intersection
The fatality happened at the intersection of Water St. and Woodley St. West, which is in a residential area of Northfield.
The car was traveling west on Woodley St. West and the bike was heading north on Water St. when the two collided, the state crash report says.
Authorities identified the bicyclist as 72-year-old Chunfeng Chu from Northfield. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol says.
56-year-old Christopher Todd Johnson of Northfield was identified as the driver of the car. He was not hurt.
Alcohol was not involved in the fatality, according to the state crash report.
The Northfield Police Department, Northfield Fire Department and Northfield Ambulance also responded to the fatality.
