Traffic Stop Leads to Drug & DWI Charges for Rochester, MN Woman

38-year-old Casey Anna McKenzie is now charged with one count of first-degree drug sales, a count of third-degree drug possession and two gross-misdemeanor DWI charges.

The complaint says  McKenzie failed multiple field sobriety tests that were conducted after the officer observed signs of impairment. When asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, McKenzie told the officer there was a container in the glove compartment.

The container had methamphetamine. A subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of additional meth spread in multiple baggies, a digital scale and pipe with meth residue in her purse, the charges say.

In all, police found 22.8 grams of meth. McKenzie also admitted to selling meth and said she was enroute to a gas station to make a meth sale when the officer pulled her over, according to the court document.

Law enforcement drew a blood sample from McKenzie after arresting her and bringing her to the Olmsted County Jail. An analysis of the sample detected the presence of amphetamine and methamphetamine in her system, the charges say.
