Two Drivers Injured, One Seriously, In SE Minnesota Crash
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash at a Goodhue County intersection sent a Wisconsin man to a hospital with serious injuries.
The State Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 61 and 19 in Red Wing Thursday. The collision was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m.
The state crash report indicates a Toyota pick-up traveling south on Hwy. 61 and a Dodge pickup heading east on Hwy. 19 collided in the intersection of the two highways. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 54-year-old Richard Rybold of Bay City, WI, was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are being described as serious injuries.
The other pick-up driver, 42-year-old Kassandra Nelson of Red Wing, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Both drivers were buckled and alcohol was not involved in causing the crash, according to the report.
The road was described as dry. The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Red Wing Fire Department and Red Wing Police Department also responded to the collision.
