Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A statewide alert regarding an unidentified baby was issued Tuesday night then canceled early Wednesday morning after authorities located the child’s mother.

The BCA issued the statewide alert after Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport Police couldn’t identify an infant believed to be around 10 months old that officers found with a person they described to be in crisis around 9 p.m. on August 21. Authorities said the adult female and child arrived at the airport via Light Rail.

Investigators do not believe the woman is a relative or guardian of the child. Authorities identified the child and found her mother safe. The alert from the BCA, which was in effect for over four hours, indicates the child was not reported missing. Investigators are continuing to look into the incident.
