Wabasha County Court records indicate he entered a plea agreement on Monday. He was accused of sexually abusing the teen victim multiple times over a period of multiple months.
He was charged in the case after the victim reported being sexually assaulted in March of 2024. The criminal complaint indicates the victim is a teenage girl.
40-year-old Jesse Allen Tesmer was charged in March of last year with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a count of possession of pornographic work.
The victim told law enforcement that Tesmer had sexually assaulted her when she was six years old, the charges say.

She then told investigators that Tesmer began having sexual conversations with her when she was 12 and at one point came into her room and showed her a pornographic website, the complaint says.
She said Tesmer then sexually assaulted her in a vehicle in the summer of 2022 while they were on their way back from a bar and restaurant, the charges say.

The teen girl told investigators Tesmer sexually assaulted her 4-5 more times after the alleged assault in the vehicle, according to the court document.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, resources are available for help. Visit the RAINN website (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) or dial 800-656-HOPE (800-656-4673).
Tesmer is also accused of only allowing the teen to go to a friend’s or do something she wanted to do in exchange for sexual acts of by taking the teen girl’s phone to view nude photos of the victim, the complaint says.
The victim reported the final assault had occurred the weekend prior to her reporting the alleged abuse to law enforcement.
Tesmer pleaded guilty to two of the first-degree criminal sexual conduct counts in exchange for the dismissal of the other charges. The plea deal indicates he faces a minimum of 144 months in prison.
Tesmer plans to argue for a downward departure and the prosecution intends to call for an upward sentencing departure, the plea agreement says. He is scheduled to be sentenced early next year.
